To all of Citizens State Bank's loyal Customers:

After more than 60 years and over three generations of community banking, our family has sold Citizens State Bank of Waverly, Inc. to Cattail Bancshares, Inc. of Atwater, MN. 

We thank you for your support and business throughout the many years our family has owned and operated the bank.  It has truly been an honor to work with friends and neighbors, to help make the greater Waverly and Montrose area a great place to live and work. 

Cattail Bancshares is owned by Bob and Suzanne Meyerson, another third generation banking family.  They currently own community banks in Atwater-Kandiyohi and Kimball-St. Augusta.  The sale of Citizens State Bank to Cattail Bancshares places the bank in strong community banking hands that will continue to serve the communities and to offer competitive banking with a community focus.

The bank name will remain Citizens State Bank of Waverly.  The bank staff will also remain the same.  As a customer, you most likely will not notice any changes.  Both the Meyerson and Graham/Jackson families agree that the bank’s mission going forward will continue to be quality, trusted community banking every day, with customer service second to none.
